Who it is for
An apartment in Westlands had a balcony used only for drying clothes. The owner wanted somewhere to read in the morning and host friends after work.
The design idea
Click-down timber deck tiles over the cement, one long low sofa against the wall, and planters at three heights so the green frames the view instead of blocking it. String lights do the work after dark.
What it changes
The balcony became the favourite room in the flat, used from first coffee to the last guest.
Inside the space
In the collections
This is a design concept by Kenya Home Search Studio: an illustrated proposal to show what a space like this could become, not a photograph of a finished home. Please ask before reusing the images.
