The role
What a field agent does

Find property owners
Meet landlords, land sellers, agents, developers and property managers in your area who want more tenants and buyers.

Help them list
Show them how to create a free account and list a house, apartment, plot or shop, or set the listing up together.

Get listings ready
Help each listing go live with clear photos, an honest description, the right price and an accurate location.

Stay in touch
Follow up with the owners you bring in, answer their questions and help them keep their listings up to date.
Who fits
Who we are looking for
- You live in Kenya and know the property market in your town or county.
- You already talk to landlords, caretakers, land sellers, agents or developers, or you are good at meeting new people.
- You have a smartphone with WhatsApp and can take clear photos.
- You are honest and organised, and you follow through on what you promise.
- You can plan your own week and work on hours that suit you.
- Property experience helps but is not required: we explain how the platform works.

We read every application and look at the areas you know, your experience and your network.

Kenya Home Search is a property marketplace where tenants and buyers contact owners and agents directly. Field agents help more good property reach it, so the people searching find real, well-presented listings.

Is this a salaried job or commission based?
The role is commission based. You earn from the property owners and listers you bring to Kenya Home Search. We explain the full terms privately to shortlisted applicants before any agreement is signed.
Do I have to pay anything to join?
No. There is no joining fee, no training fee and nothing to buy. Never pay anyone who asks for money to help you join Kenya Home Search.
Can I work remotely and choose my hours?
Yes. The role is fully remote and the hours are flexible. You work in the areas you know, on the days and at the times that suit you.
Do I need real estate experience?
Experience with landlords, land or property sales helps, but it is not required. Knowing your area well and being trusted by the people in it matters more.
Where in Kenya can I work from?
Anywhere in Kenya. We welcome applicants from every county, from Nairobi, Kiambu and Kajiado to Mombasa, Kisumu, Nakuru and smaller towns.
How will I hear back?
We review applications as they come in and contact shortlisted applicants on WhatsApp or phone. One application is enough. If you send the form again, we keep your first application and note your later message alongside it.
Is this employment?
No. Field agents work with Kenya Home Search as independent contractors under a written agreement, not as employees.
