Before you send money, confirm that the seller owns the property and that the title is clean.

What a verification covers

  • An official search at the land registry
  • Registered owner name matched against the seller
  • Encumbrances such as charges, cautions or restrictions
  • Rates clearance where you request it

What it does not replace

A verification is not a survey and not legal advice. For a purchase, also use an advocate and a licensed surveyor to confirm beacons and boundaries on the ground.
