Who it is for
A family in Karen cooks every day and entertains every weekend. The old kitchen was dark, cramped and turned its back on the garden.
The design idea
We opened the run along the garden wall, chose a forest green that holds up to daily use, and gave the room one generous island with seating for four. Open shelves keep everyday pieces in reach, closed cupboards hide the rest.
What it changes
The kitchen became the room everyone gathers in: light from the garden, space to cook together and a counter long enough for a whole family's breakfast.
Inside the space
In the collections
This is a design concept by Kenya Home Search Studio: an illustrated proposal to show what a space like this could become, not a photograph of a finished home. Please ask before reusing the images.
