In short

What Kenya Home Search is, and what it is not

  • Kenya Home Search is an online property marketplace for Kenya: houses, apartments, bedsitters, land and commercial space to rent or buy.
  • Tenants and buyers contact owners, landlords, agents and developers directly by WhatsApp, phone or email. The site charges tenants and buyers no commission.
  • Listing a property is free. Every listing is reviewed by our team before it goes live.
  • Listers can pay for optional packages (more photos and video, featured placement). Featured listings are labelled as promoted.
  • A "Verified owner" or "ID verified" badge means our team checked the lister's documents. It is not legal advice: buyers should still do an official search and use an advocate.
  • Rent, deposits and purchase money are never paid through Kenya Home Search. Payments on the site are only for listers' packages.
  • Kenyans living abroad get step-by-step buying guides, country pages and remote video viewing requests.
