Kenya Home Search is a property marketplace for Kenya. Owners, landlords, agents and developers list homes, land and commercial space. Renters and buyers find them and contact the lister directly, by WhatsApp, phone or email. There is no middleman between you, and we charge no commission on any rent or sale.
This page explains how it works, what our badges mean and what we do not do, so you know exactly what to expect.
Every listing has contact buttons that reach the person who listed it. You agree viewings, ask questions and negotiate between yourselves. We do not sit in the middle of the conversation and we do not take a cut.
If nothing fits yet, fill in Find me a home with your area, budget and must-haves. We match your request with owners and agents in that area, and they contact you directly.
You can list your property for free. Create an account, add your photos and details from your phone, and submit. Every listing is reviewed before it goes live, which keeps the site clean for everyone.
Paid plans add more photos, video tours, 360 tours, aerial maps and featured placement. See pricing for current plans. Every plan, free or paid, is zero commission: enquiries come straight to you.

A listing with the Verified Owner badge belongs to a lister who has passed our identity check and a title check for that property at the time of verification. It is a strong signal that you are talking to the real owner.
It is not a guarantee, a survey or legal advice. Records can change after we check, so buyers should still run their own official search and use an advocate. For a dedicated check on a property you are serious about, see property verification.
Our team reviews new listings and changes before they appear. We remove listings that break our rules and act on reports from users.
From time to time we show a small number of example listings to demonstrate features like video and 360 tours. They carry a clear "Example listing" label and contacting them reaches us, not a fake owner.
Kenya Home Search does not collect viewing fees, booking fees, deposits or rent, and we do not hold purchase money. If anyone claiming to work for us asks you to pay, do not pay, and tell us through the contact page. Read our guide to avoiding rental scams.

Is it free to search? Yes. Searching, saving and contacting listers is free.

Do you charge commission when I rent or sell? No. Zero commission on every plan.
Who do I pay rent or a deposit to? Directly to the landlord or their official account, under a written agreement, with a receipt. Never to us, and never before you have viewed the property.
How do I get the Verified Owner badge? From your dashboard, open Get verified, upload your ID and your title deed or proof of ownership, and submit for review. Some plans include the badge.
